Home About Me Weekly Websites Moderators Basic Tutorials

Time for the second"eekly ebsite"!  This site, if that's what you want to call it, is a gaming site that updates about twice a week.  It is actually not a site, but a channel, a YouTube channel.   It is LikeTotallyAwesome, and it is, LikeTotallyAwesome! In fact, it is so, LikeTotallyAwesome, that I just had to write about it.  This channel is devoted to online gaming, movie, and video game news.  They go above and beyond to not only telling you the reviews, but also their opinion.  This also better then some blogs, because

  1. They are not paid, so when they don't like something, they speak their mind.
  2. It is a video, so you can see them, and maybe even get a good laugh.
  3. They might listen to your comments, unlike big corporate companies.
  4. And you can subscribe to them, and see them just by logging on YouTube.

Picture Contest

Hey future wizards, I have a contest for you!  It is a picture contest!  The only rules are: No Swearing, No Offensive Content, and No Copying (original).  Here is a sample that I made.
ImageChef.com is a great place to upload pictures and have captions. Animated Pictures are also allowed.  Pictures will be judged by five pre-chosen people for funniness.  Please either put the link in this post or send the pictures to SevenWizardsBlog@yahoo.com.   Winners will get some reward, something anywhere to having a permanent place on my friends list, to being in my clan to get an amount of free resources.  Contest closes June 10th!

Wizard Clans

Clans.  Starting to sound a little bit like Runescape if you ask me.  The good thing is clan members can donate resources to each other, which is a big plus!
Clan battles (again, sounds like Runescape) sounds like fun. Too bad it won't be in the first release of the game.  Level 3 to join a clan, and level 5 to start one.  And maybe you might even get to be in the hall of fame!  Pretty cool.  My Rating = 7/10
PS: Sorry this took so long to come up, I have had some Internet and electrical problems.

Wizard Rings!

Posted On 2:25 PM 0 Comments

The Wiz Master just released a sneak peak of the Wizard Rings!  He said each ring has parameters (or factors) which improve your players stats!  You can  "charge"  your rings with mana.  It might get annoying though, depends on how often you use rings.  There is own for each element.  You can also wear up to 4 rings at once.  One of each element. There is a catch that I found though.  There are 22 rings in this picture, and last time I checked, 22 isn't evenly divisible by 4.
So what are the other two rings for?  Mastery?  Beta?  Other?  Let me know what you think.
PS:  I rate the rings a 10/10!  Pretty impressive, (mostly because of looks).  We will see if they are really that good in the game!
EDIT: This is what vayerman said about having 22 rings.

Wizard Pets

Posted On 2:48 PM 0 Comments

  • all of our pets have equal basic skills and only look is different(however, we may want to change it on higher levels :)
  • Each pet may be in active mode or 'in cage/not active' mode
  • when in active mode, your pet attacks your opponents when you attack!
  • when in active mode, you pet may be attacked by other pets when in active mode, your pet may be killed, if his health gets 0. (this is really sad, so I had to think about it again)
  • when your pet is killed, you are able to resurrect it! (I don't like to be sad lol)
  • when in cage, your pet cannot be attacked or killed, but also your pet cannot fight together with you
  • you may train your pet and make it stronger and stronger
  • you may buy special upgrades for your pet    ~Wiz Master
Ok, so let's look at each statement and see the "Pros" and "Cons" about it.
  • All pets have equal skills.  This is good because you can focus on looks more then skills.  On the down side, one pet does not have an advantage over one and a weakness over another.
  • Active=attack Caged=Nothing   This is good because you can chose if you want your companion to assist you in battle.  It is also bad, because you can't just walk around with your pet and not worry about it dying or being attacked.
  • Resurrecting Pets :)  The only down side about this is if you kill another persons pet, it can still come back.   Also, risking pets lives will be alot more common since your can get them back.  Everything else is good.
  • Training and upgrading.   Not really a down side to this either.  Hopefully there are different paths you are able to take when upgrading, like, Strength instead of Magic, or vice-versa.
And if this is just the beginning, I can't wait to see what else pets can do.  The only thing I am concerned about is being a bit overpriced, but I guess we will see.  Overall I rate having pets in this game 8/10.  What do you think?

Today we start "eekly ebsites"!  This is an article that comes out every Monday, but will not have anything to do with 7Wizards.  So for today's "Weekly Website", he have GivesMeHope.com (GMH).   Most of us heard of fMyLife.com (FML) but why would you want to read about other peoples problems...when you can read about the miracles some other people have?  GMH has some inspiring, unbelievable stories by real people, and you can even submit your own. They also have a ton, no, more then a ton of people that like this website. If you Need2Know the next website, well, just wait 'till next Monday.

Rings

Hey wizards. Jessie has shown us some sneak peaks of wizard rings! Personaly, I think they are for magic mastery! You will get each ring once you master a certain element, like fire, wind, combat, ect. Here's what I think each ring is for:
Fire                       Water 1                   Water 2                     Earth                      Strength
Nature 1                       Nature 2                     Air                        Flying                          Life?

And I have no idea what these are:
Give me your opinion.  Are they for Mastery, Looks, Other Achievments, or Exclusive?

New Blog Updates

Posted On 1:45 PM 0 Comments

Hey future wizards! This is just a quick update to tell you about some of the updates this blog went through. First, the most noticeable is the header. The header randomly switches with every page load (F5). This is my favorite update because it took be over 3 days to put in effect. The making the pictures were kind of easy but incorporating the piece of code was difficult (with a custom template). Also, if you see a "B" next to the title, the content is blog updates.  We also have a stat counter (hidden) so every month or so I will tell you how many hits we have gotten.  The tabs have been replaced with more attractive ones.  Also, new tabs are up, although they don't lead anywhere yet.  The About Me page now has the current music I am listening to.  This means the song(s) I am hooked on for that week you will get to listen to.  The Basic Tutorial's page is still under construction, but had a major revampt.

Magic Tree

Vayerman posted on the Official Blog a picture that I thought was kind of interesting.

It looks exactly (maybe a little less creepy) as this image i think will be the map.  Check it out and tell me what you think!  (Mouse over picture to see)

Of course, any mage needs practice and competition. It will be also available on 7Wizards. I will tell you  more about this in my next    postings.
According to this, I'm guessing that the whole "plot" to this game is leveling up to best another online player.  First practice.  Practice will probably be your best source of leveling up as a inexperienced wizard as combat with another player will get you nowhere.  As you "level up" you will be able to fight higher level players and eventually come out on top.  Also, I'm guessing that fighting a player will be faster to "level", but only if you win.  If you lose, you probably earn a fraction of what the winner gets.  Another thing I noticed, was Vayerman's signature for his posts is "7Wiz Master"  This might be hinting to the "leveling up"...
Level 1: Novice
Level 2: Amateur
Level 3: Apprentice
Level 4: Warrior
Level 5: Knight
Level 6: Sorcerer
Level 7: Master
Again, this is just my opinion, so let me here yours!

Interface

Posted On 8:21 PM 0 Comments

First, lets look at what might be the 7Wizards interface.

This looks similar to Chobots, Vayersoft's other game.  First you got the "Home" button.  This will most likely bring you to the log-in screen.  It is more unique for the game.  It is a castle, and not a tab or button.  Next the avatar. Different from chobots, you have a button which will probably pop-up your player-card, or maybe your player stats (age, log-in time, money, total money earned, accomplishments, ect.)  Now the "Friends" button. Again, more then just a button, which is a plus.  Will somehow display all friends, probably like all the other MMORPGs and virtual worlds. Mail.  Not much of an original picture, but they did what they could which is good.  Players will be able to send mail to each other and this is where you see your mail received, and maybe even sent.  The "blog" icon is just the standard, but widely known blogger trademark icon.  Just a hunch, but this picture will probably change sometime before or during game-play.  Last but not least, "buy gold".   This basically allows users "skip" the game and "skip" the experience.  They just buy their way into the game and get almost everything.  They are skipping the feeling of accomplishment, and will complete the game a lot quicker and get bored sooner, so I'm not so worried about this.  I see in the future a membership button and maybe a report button.  I can also see a settings button somewhere near.  They might even be already here in a different place.  This is a pretty impressive, but easy to use interface which will attract more then normal amounts visitors.  That's all I have for now, until there is something else you Need2Know.

Welcome to SevenWizards!  On this site we will post 7wizards.com content, along with some other...stuff.  There will be contests, and other fun, little weekly posts.  If you see a "7" next to the title, the content of the article is about 7Wizards, If you see a "W" next to the title, it is a weekly article, and If you see an "i" next to the title, it is a notice.  I am Need2Know and I will get back to you, when you, Need...2...Know.
